ROXANNES MARAE TRIP

Roxanne’s trip to the marae

It was a sunny day on Wednesday. I went to a marae called Ngati moki.

First we went on a bus to the exciting marae.The marae was big, I thought it looked Powerful.

Second we waited at the gate Fiona welcomed us into the mare.The caller said some things back I could not understand it.

Then we went in the marae. Fiona sang a song. We had a snack there was a playground there. I was surprised of all the stuff.The food in my lunch was nice. Gilberthorpe school sang a song that I think they knew because they were lip singing it.Then we did our mihi. Finally it was time for lunch I played on the playground then it was time to go back inside.

It was time to go home the bus would not come until it was time to go home if we were at school we would be like one minute late.When we got back to my mum said’ where were you ‘  I said at the marae she told me that she had been there for agers

I said at least you weren’t late so that is lucky.

Fridays best day ever

On Monday at twelve o'clock Gilberthorpe school had a duathlon.First the teachers had to tell

the children what to do.We had to do swimming first the year threes went in the pool then year 

fives.after year fives we all had to run around the feild.Year fours had to run four times.Year fives

had to run six times.after that we got in our school unufrom.I felt happy that i tryed my best
