               Artificial- Man-made light,Usually electrical
             
               Warm- Yellow, makes you feel safe,Warm
               Cold- Usually white or blue tone, Makes you  feel clean, clinical

               Bright light- Lights things up real easily,Fills room,Happy,Safe
               Dull light- Fills part of the space only, often creepy/murky

Whats happening in picture 1- Corline & her parents having breakfast in the real kitchen- They look depressed,dull,lifeless.

Directors purpose- Set the mood that the real world is boring and empty,To make the other world more appealing.

Other techniques-Costumes,shots,settings,real parents are simple and plain where as the other mother and dad are more vibrant.

Whats happening is picture 2- Corline and the other parents having dinner in the other kitchen, seemed vibrant and appealing, Good food on offer.
Technique- Lighting- Artificial- ceiling light build
                                -Warm-yellow tone.
                                -Dull-Parts of the room still in shadow
Colour- Black,orange and orange palette
warm- Makes you feel safe/comfortable

Directors purpose- Looks can be deceiving- looks nice but in reality it is unsafe,Makes corline feel comfortable- Huge improvement
Other techniques - Costumes-Colourful,friectly looking, Lots of black,red more fashionable,comfy,warm.

Quick brainstorm: In the real kitchen scene colour and lighting were shown that looks can be deceiving, The used of washed out faded yellows and creams.This worked well with the use of costumes because they are also plain and bland but also a lot of bright colours like light pick.

Scene picked:

In the scene where corline firsts meets the other parents,The other mother is in the kitchen making dinner it was like she was expecting corline to come though the dark vibrant tunnel. The room was a peachy pink colour with a hint of cream light orange. When the other mother turned around she looked creppy. She was nice at first but you never know what could happen...The room looked dull,plain and only had lightened up half of the room.
